• Google Account Details: When logging in via Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo.
• Profile & Lifestyle Habits: To calculate compatibility scores, we collect voluntary information regarding your occupation, food habits, smoking/drinking tolerances, cleanliness preferences, pet choices, and sleep schedules.
• Security Verification Proofs: If you request a verified badge, we collect a 5-second front-camera selfie video and a scanned copy of a government ID (Aadhaar, PAN, DL, or Passport). Important: We request users to blur the first 8 digits of their Aadhaar card (Masked Aadhaar).
• Location Information: We request access to your device's geographical coordinates only when you click the auto-detect location filter button to match room listings nearby.

2. Storage and Security of Verification Documents

Verification documents and selfie video clips are stored in a dedicated, secure local directory on our servers. These files are completely hidden from public access points and can only be accessed by system administrators for verification audits. Under no circumstances are your uploaded ID documents shared with other users or third parties.

3. Data Usage Policy

Your data is strictly used to match you with compatible flatmates, display listings in relevant cities, and secure the community against brokers and scammers. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party marketing companies.

4. Chat Conversations Privacy

Direct messages between matched flatmates are private. Administrators only review conversations if a chat participant is reported for abuse, harassment, or violating terms of use.

5. User Control & Data Deletion

You retain complete ownership over your data. If you wish to delete your MatchMyMate.in account and permanently remove all associated data (including your name, email, profile preferences, uploaded government ID, and selfie video), please email us at support@matchmymate.in. Your data will be deleted within 48 hours of request confirmation.
